All of us float down here–.
” You know what they say about Derry. No one who dies here ever really passes away.”
Pennywise the murderous clown is back and scarier than ever, looking for vengeance on the full-grown members of the Losers Club in IT: Chapter Two, Warner Brothers’ follow-up to its 2017’s hit horror film, IT
( Some spoilers for very first movie and novel listed below.)
Set in 1989, IT essentially adjusted half of King’s original book, telling the story of a group of misfit kids calling themselves “The Losers Club,” who find their village of Derry is home to an ancient, trans-dimensional evil that awakens every 27 years to prey on kids in specific, taking the type of an evil clown called Pennywise. Bill (Jaeden Lieberher) loses his little bro, Georgie, to Pennywise, and the group chooses to handle Pennywise and drive him into early hibernation, where he will ideally starve. But Beverly (Sophia Lillis) has a vision warning that Pennywise will return on schedule in 27 years, and they need to be ready to combat him once again.
IT: Chapter 2 revisits our protagonists27 years later, as they all go back to Derry to challenge the horrors of their past and put an end to the unspeakable evil (aka Pennywise) that has actually terrified the town for decades. The trailer opens innocuously enough, with adult Beverly (Jessica Chastain) going back to your house she grew up in and taking a seat for tea with the elderly female now occupying your home. However that old woman ends up being not so innocent– our first indication that IT: Chapter 2 is most likely to be just as frightening as its predecessor.
IT: Chapter 2 strikes theaters September 6,2019 Hesitate. Be extremely scared.
